I just recently wrote a review about a different sandwich place pointing out how tired and saturated the submarine sandwich shop market has become. Then, along came DiBella's, proving that there is as least still some room for a creative approach to the mundane formula. Sure, they have subs. Yes, you can choose from different kinds of breads, meats, cheeses, and toppings. They even offer hot or cold variations and meals with your choice of chips or cookies. It sounds like every other sandwich chain on every street corner, but they have at least surpassed my expectations in quality, selection, and atmosphere. Yes, at the end of it all, it is yet another casual sandwich shop - admittedly, one we certainly didn't need more of. However, if the market only needed 3 of these such places to become mega chains, I would certainly support this being one of them. I can think of at least a couple of others that could disappear and I would hardly even notice. DiBella's, now that I have tried it, would be one I would miss. That is saying a lot, actually.

Thought I would give this place one more try. There is a new crew. Although they seem nice, I am too miffed about the unmarked pricing of their drinks. $2.79 for bottled Honest Green Tea. Seriously? Even 1.79 is too high. I don't like to be taken advantage of, just because I'm not a pop drinker. I really don't think I can get past this. I doubt I'll be back here. I can get a whole meal at Del Taco for the price of a tea at Dibellas. Too bad, it was close to work and home.UPDATE: The Au jus of my Dibellas Dip had a giant whole on the top. even though I carried it separately (not knowing of the impending disaster) it still went everywhere. The bag, my car, clothes, and purse. Hence, a downgrade from 2 starts to 1.

Godfather (salami, ham, capicola) was very good. Would come back in a heartbeat. Everything bread (seseme, poppy, onion) was good. Love the bag and butcher paper the sandwich is wrapped in. Went for another round and the sandwich did not disappoint. The manager or shift leader Bri was helpful. This being my second time I misorder and ordered an Assorted Italian instead of Godfather. She wasnt happy but she replaced it wo hassle which I appreciated. I just tried a new sub shop on Woodward and they were not as good as DiBellas. I def will be a regular. New add: ok. Ate inside for the first time. They play old like 20s-40s jazz that made me want to hang out and listen. I had a negative situation but the manager was nice and comped me some free sandwichs- the plastic wrap around the meat was in my sandwich. Not kewl but I didnt freak. Just told them to not let that happen anymore. Luckily I caught it before swallowing. I could hve made a bigger deal but Im not really like that. I finished the sandwich and took the comp ticket. This happened to me before at a different restaurant chain.

It is similar to subway but with a grill. After you order and pay you go a table to wait for the sandwich. They have similar sides - you know pickles, chips and salads. So why 3 stars? I frankly thought is was very messy, so to eat it on a lunch break is risking your clothes. Also I thought it was quite pricy. Not the end of the world if it is super good but for the cost you could buy a few subs at subway. I'll give it another whirl...but I don't expect much.

It's a bit pricey for a sub but good the sub bread is great and the cookies are smack your mama awesome!!

Was there on 4th of July, no one was in the store. The manager was helping to take our orders. We asked for dressings on the sides so our sandwiches would not be wet when we ate them later. As we drove down the street we looked in the bag to find no dressing. So we caled back the manger said he forget as he was rushing to get us on our way, remember no one else was in the store. His solution was for us to drive back and he woukd bring them out to our car. At this point we were to far down the road. Manger never anything beyoud this. Not best customer service , not satisfied.

Try the Godfather with provolone, mayo and a pickle. Best sandwich I've had in years.

Don't get me wrong: I LOVE DiBella's. But this location just doesn't seem to have it together, based on my one visit. My two-star review is solely directed at the bored, confused, largely indifferent staff. I waited at least five minutes -- AT THE FRONT OF THE LINE -- before anyone took my order. Then it took much longer than usual for my sandwich to be made. Then I stood at the register another few minutes before anyone bothered to walk over and ring me up. Total wasted time from the moment I walked in to the moment I finished paying was approximately ten minutes, on a Sunday afternoon when they weren't even busy. Won't be returning to this location, though I shall remain a loyal DiBella's customer, simply because they have the best subs around.

expensive, slow to make, and defintely not worth the price!

Visited this location earlier today for dinner and it was real good. I usually frequent the DiBella's on Hall/Hayes but found myself way out here.. Happy to say it's quite consistent! I highly recommend the Godfather sandwich on everything bread with house oil and anything else your stomach desires. It's all good. The place was tidy, fast and polite. In and out within 5 minutes. For what subway charges for any substantial sandwich with real-tasting meat, I think DiBella's is more than fair for the price. Medium combo w/ side & drink for $10. Overall very satisfied with my visit!

Husband has picked up subs from this location for me on his way home three times now. The meat, cheese and bread are high quality and very tasty. The Swiss is flavorful. The bread is very fresh and probably the best quality out of all the other sub chains. The chocolate chip cookies are amazing. My order is always the same; ham, salami, Swiss, black olives, onion, tomato, oil, mustard and extra mayo. On each occasion, my sub was made incorrectly, missing the mayo all together and swimming in mustard. One time isn't a big deal, mistakes happen. But three times in a row isn't really acceptable for the price you pay for these subs. It's disappointing because otherwise they are very good. But since I never seem to get what I order and pay for, I won't be back.

What a great sub sandwich with superb flavor. The girls behind the counter were super friendly, and the subs are incredible. Perfect submarine. Absolutely loved it!!!!

DiBellas has been a weekly staple on my lunch menu. My hubby and I can get a large sub, split it and still have leftovers all for $10! My personal fave is the Godfather on the everything bread with oil, mayo, sweet peppers and banana peppers as the extra toppings. The sandwiches are loaded to the brim with so much meat and toppings that it's worth every penny. The staff is pretty quick at making the subs so I'm not sure what others are talking about. Maybe they expect it to be like a Subway? Well, it's not. It's DiBellas. Oh and the homemade cookies are a-mazing!

Really cool atmosphere for quick lunch. The subs are really filling. Fresh made bread so it is a little thicker than the average sub bread. Service wasn't that great but the girl ringing the register made up for it.

Can't think of a better place to get a sub. 1. They don't serve yoga mats 2. Their food is fresh 3. The workers are clean and courteous 4. The place is always packed, but the food comes out quickly If you are looking for a handcrafted sub, look no further

11/12/14 - You'd think in a world filled with Sandwhich stores, this chain would stand out, nope. I had the Cheesesteak and it was nothing to write home about. The thing that got me about the place, is that every single table was dirty, look at my pics. There were about 40 tables and I mean all were dirty, they had bread crumbs, napkins, cups, etc. this was at 4pm when they were dead. If they can't keep the dining room clean, there food handling can't be very sanitary. Never coming here again. What a dump.

This place is close to us so we are happy it turned out to be a good place. We actually try and stop in when we can. The breads are all good. The value seems right. The sandwiches have adequate meat. We liked the Godfather and the Italian. We never went at lunch so do not know how crowded it is at that time. In the evening or on weekends there is usually zero waiting time. While ordering you have to select bread, bread size, type of sandwich, garnishes... Relax and you'll get through it.

I'm not sure what these other reviewers are talking about. I came here for the first time a few days ago on my lunch break. I walked in and was immediately taken back by how big and open the place is. Think potbelly & penn station... SUPER SIZED! I stepped up to the counter to order but like a deer in the headlights all I could do was stare at the menu. I told the girl behind the counter I was poppin my Dibella cherry so she gave me the rundown. I went for a 7" (the smallest they have) chicken Philly combo and added a pickle on the side. At first I thought it wouldn't be enough but boy was I wrong. The sub came out and I was like "mmm mmm, that's a big ass sandwich" in my Samuel L. Jackson voice. The flat top behind the counter was obviously put to use because the chicken was hot and the cheese was melty. It was pretty bad ass. I think the part that set it off was that they serve sweet tea. Hell Yeah.

This place saved us! If you want to grab food on the go with high quality and quantities, so this is your place!! One large sandwich fill you up( sometimes i cant finish it). 10$ for large sandwich only, you can put in it whatever you want. They put large amount of real meat. You can sit in this place also as it is very huge. Family friendly. The only thing that its not 5 stars is the cheese, not very tasty, i usually dont add it. The staff is very friendly
